WEATHER INFORMATION
I have been interested in weather for the past 38 years. Many of those years was as a storm spotter and have taken numerous storm spotter classes including the advanced storm spotter and the super spotter classes in the Dallas / Fort Worth area. Many of my years as storm spotter were involved with watching radar signatures and directing the field spotters to the hot spot areas. This included some prediction planning with looking at weather conditions...lifted indicies, helicity and the like.
I am most likely known for the Tornado video that hit the Gainesville area back on April 26, 1994 that took a direct hit to the Sunset Village trailer park and the baseball sized hail that fell around me as I shot the video. I was at work at the time and not in a good location (to the North East side of the cell).
FAMILY
The Lord has blessed me with a wonderful wife, Marcia and wonderful children. My oldest son is currently a reserve deputy and my next oldest son is currently pursuing going into the military as a Marine. My other 2 children living at home are in school and going through those wonderful teen years.
I don't chase or spot storms as much as I use to do, in fact I rarely do so anymore. I don't know if it is my years of doing it that just seems like the same ole thing or just content watching from home on radar and local storm reports. Either way, still watch the weather and during severe season my phone usually rings constantly with people wanting to know what is happening around us.
May the Lord keep all of you safe and out of harms way.
